Length 150' or greater: 2 state police escorts required.
- Police / law-enforcement escortover 20'0" width
Width 20' or greater: 2 state police escorts required (no civilian pilots).
- Police / law-enforcement escortover 125'0" length
Length 125' or greater (under 150'): 1 civilian pilot + 1 state police escort required.
- Lead (front) pilot carover 125'0" length
Length 125' or greater (under 150'): 1 civilian pilot + 1 state police required.
- Police / law-enforcement escortover 16'0" width
Width 16' or greater (under 20'): 1 civilian pilot + 1 state police escort required.
- Lead (front) pilot carover 16'0" width
Width 16' or greater (under 20'): 1 civilian pilot + 1 state police required.
- Height-pole escortover 16'0" height
Height over 16': 1 pilot car with height pole required.
- Pilot car (front or rear)over 80'0" length
Length over 80' (under 125'): 1 civilian pilot car required.
- Pilot car (front or rear)over 12'0" width
Width over 12' (under 16'): 1 civilian pilot car required.
Travel restrictions
- Daylight-only travelover 12'0" width
Travel permitted 1/2 hr before sunrise to 1/2 hr after sunset only.
- Weekend / holiday restrictionover 12'0" width
No travel on state holidays; July–August Sat/Sun restricted for loads 12' or wider or 80' or longer.
