Police escort
A law-enforcement escort required for the largest loads, often to control intersections and traffic.
For the widest, tallest, or longest moves, a state may require one or more law-enforcement (police or highway patrol) escorts in addition to civilian pilot cars. Police escorts can stop traffic, control intersections, and authorize a load to briefly cross the center line. They are billed at the agency's rate and usually must be arranged in advance through the permit office.
