Stretch (extendable) trailer

A trailer that telescopes longer to support extra-long loads end to end.

A stretch or extendable trailer telescopes out to add length, so a long load — bridge beams, wind blades, pipe — is supported along its whole length instead of overhanging. Flatbeds, step decks, double drops, and RGNs all come in stretch versions. Extra length usually means an over-length permit and often a rear escort.
